Tyler & Allison

It was a pretty decent way to spend a Saturday evening. The weather was cooperating and all the people surrounding Bar K and the river park were so friendly. It didn’t take Allison and Tyler long to feel comfortable in front of the camera. They said they’d only done photos once before so I made sure I directed them well. It was so chill. I had about 4-5 spots picked out for them and we hit every one. After the golden hour was passing and things were wrapping up we passed an old buddy who I used to be neighbors with and he and his wife were walking there small dog. We all got introduced and conversed as the light was turning dark. It was a delight going through these photos later – only thinking about how I hoped they would appreciate their photos.

A bicycle path, separate from traffic, was built on the Heart of America bridge in 2010. This is part of the Heritage Trail that allows foot traffic from downtown to the Northland.
Winter 2020
I feel like the elements of Missouri are often overlooked. It’s just a speculation – mostly because I used to never pay attention to it. Or maybe I just forgot. It wasn’t until I took my camera into the nearby fields for a closer look. I spend so much time thinking about other parts of the world I’ve never been too that I often forget I can appreciate what’s in my own backyard. And yes, I’ve read The Alchemist.

I enjoy taking my pups on long runs through this area. It’s nice getting to spend time with them outside but I’ll admit I enjoy spending it with humans better.

Although these photographs were taken during winter it still felt like spring. It is now the first day of spring. Here’s to a new season.
