Test Roll

I haven’t shot film since 2010. When my darkroom equipment got damaged in a move I was pretty discouraged and just kept shooting digital. I’ve decided to reinvest in the gear recently. It took time and research but I did it. Currently I have 2 rolls developed and scanned, I forgot how much different the entire process is compared to digital. You’re just way more involved, more challenged, so it’s more rewarding, etc. I have a tremendous amount of relearning to do with developing and I couldn’t be more exited. I effed up these first couple rolls so they’re super grainy, but they still turned out ok. I’m posting them because I want to see the progression of developing/scanning quality as I shoot more of this medium. This epson scanner is tough but it makes hi res scans and decent color inversion. I’m happy so far. Here’s to discovering a new way of seeing. Cheers!
Picking my camera back up that I’ve had since I was 16 has given me a chance to rediscover that tangible human element that got me exited to learn more.
Summer 2020

Sometimes the spontaneous snaps end up being one of my favorites. I often times don’t remember taking the shot. So, it can be fun so see what shows up on film.

The New England is one of my favorite pieces of architecture downtown. I gawk at it everytime I walk by.
