Lance McFee
Lance is from Kansas City and has been working with the camera for 15 years. He’s drawn to industrial environments, mountains, and the ocean for their ominous ability to make the viewer feel a certain way about their place in the universe. When he is photographing any subject, he looks for moody lighting techniques that portrays a sense of quiet to the viewer. To him a successful photo will make the viewer stop, look, and listen.
LATTICED WINDOW AT LACCOK ABBEY

1835
“When I first moved to Kansas City in 2010 I was inspired by the cinematic characteristics of the surrounding industrial environments because of the dramatic moodiness. It was one of the first times I was truly inspired. I wanted to tell a story of new beginnings. So I named my body of work after one of history’s first photos created, Latticed Window at Lacock Abbey.”

The camera has led me down many paths in life. I am truly grateful for the people and places I’ve encountered. Searching for new ideas to capture is a life-long endeavor for me.
I am open to inquiries for small assignments. If you are interested in portraits or simply just want to ask a question please contact me.
